It became easier once I stopped trying to squeeze art into life, and simply made life art.

Since 1999, I have traveled the world interacting and conversing with different environments, teasing out subliminal narratives or moods and translating what emerges. When not traveling, I enjoy creating environments, experiences, and objects that invite reflection.

I’m inspired by beauty, quiet spaciousness, poetic language, humour, and generosity and am attracted to very tactile materials such as encaustic wax, soft textiles, organic elements, and recycled objects. I combine these using techniques from various disciplines including sculpture, photography, video, sound, printmaking, digital media, and performance art.  As a mixed media artist, I am not wed to any one medium or technique, but instead select the media that I feel best actualizes the idea.
